The control siRNA is chemically synthesized as a single strand. SmartBaseTM modified siRNA is designed to be effective in duplex stability and resistant to nuclease degradation. The individual bases are chemically modified 2'-Fuoro and 2'-O methyl with phosphorothioate linkages to impart duplex stability and nuclease resistance. They are individually available with GalNAc, Cholesterol-TEG and α-tocopherol ligands to facilitate cellular delivery These are processed and quality control assessed for purity and integrity using denaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Complementary strands are annealed on a equimolar basis and lyophilized
